
Mirror, Mirror
The celebrated growth of the Internet has caused some headaches for its users. In particular, European users have had a hard time getting to the Perseus WWW site, especially in the middle of the day, due to high transatlantic Internet traffic. Now with the generous contribution of two Linux servers by our overseas colleagues, the Perseus Project has two brand new mirror sites in Europe: in Berlin at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, and in Oxford at the Centre for the Study of Ancient Documents in the Faculty of Literae Humaniores.
These sites contain all of the texts, images, and databases that are on the main Perseus site and are updated every night when Internet traffic is low. You can navigate to the mirror sites by following links to the corresponding pages in the side bar of every Perseus page, or by looking up the URLs below.
