A.to have reached a certain point, ἐξήκεις ἵνα φανεῖς hast reached a point at which thou wilt show, S.Tr.1157; “ἅλις ἵν᾽ ἐξήκεις δακρύων” Id.OT1515 (troch.); “ἀτελές τι καὶ οὐκ ἐξῆκον ἐκεῖσε οἷ πάντα δεῖ ἀφήκειν” Pl.R.53oe; “δεῦρ᾽ ἐ.” Id.Epin.987a; “ἐπειδὰν αἱ κλήσεις ἐξήκωσιν εἰς τὸ δικαστήριον” Plu.2.833f, etc.: c. acc. cogn., “ἐ. ὁδόν” S.El. 1318.
II. of Time, to have run out or expired, Hdt.2.111, S.Ph. 199, Lys.7.11, X.An.6.3.26, IG22.682.69, etc.; “πρίν μοι μοῖραν ἐξήκειν βίου” S.Ant.896; ἐξήκει ἡ ἀρχή, ἡ προθεσμία, Pl.Lg.766c, Lexap.D. 43.16.
2. of prophecies, dreams, etc., to have come to an accomplishment, turn out true, Hdt.1.120, 6.80; “τὰ πάντ᾽ ἂν ἐξήκοι σαφῆ” S. OT1182; of magical operations, succeed, PMag.Par.1.1273.
