ὀχετ-ηγός , όν, (ἄγω)
A.conducting or drawing off water by a ditch or conduit, “ὡς δ᾽ ὅτ᾽ ἀνὴρ ὀ. ἀπὸ κρήνης μελανύδρου ἂμ φυτὰ καὶ κήπους ὕδατι ῥόον ἡγεμονεύῃ” Il.21.257: metaph., πνεῦμα ὀ., of the flute, AP9.505.6; ἑῶν ὀ. ἐρώτων, of the Alpheus, ib.362.5, cf. 5.284 (Agath.); ἔρως ὀ. ἀνίης ib.228 (Maced.).
