b. frieze, “θ. κυάνοιο” Od.7.87; “χρυσοῦς” D.S.18.26.
2. metaph., coping-stone, last finish, “θ. ἀθλίων κακῶν” E.Tr.489; “δοκεῖ ὥσπερ θ. τοῖς μαθήμασιν ἡ διαλεκτικὴ . . ἐπάνω κεῖσθαι” Pl.R.534e.
