ὑπεκ-τίθεμαι , Med.,
A.bring one's property to a place of safety, of persons or things which one removes from the dangers of war, “ἔστ᾽ ἂν αὐτοὶ τέκνα τε καὶ τοὺς οἰκέτας ὑπεκθέωνται” Hdt.8.4, cf. 41, Th.1.89; “ἐκ χερῶν κλέψασ᾽ Ὀρέστην τῶν ἐμῶν ὑπεξέθου” S.El.297; “ὃν ἔξω δωμάτων ὑπεξέθου” E.Andr.69; “ὑπεκθέμενοι παιδας ἐς Σαλαμῖνα” Lys.2.34; “ὑ. τὰ χρήματα” X.Cyr.6.1.26; τοῖς ὑπεκτεθημένοις (sic) “τὰ βοσκήματα διὰ τὸν πόλεμον” BCH54.269 (Rhamnus, iii B.
