τηθαλλα^δοῦς , , (τήθη)
A.nursed by a grandmother, spoilt child, mollycoddle, ὀκνεῖς λαλεῖν; οὕτω σφόδρ᾽ εἶ τ.; Com.Adesp.17, cf. Poll.3.20, Phryn.PSp.113 B., Hdn.Gr.2.928, Suid.:—but this interpr. constantly alternates with μαμμόθρεπτος, as if from τίτθη, not τήθη.--Other forms occur, viz. τηθαλλωδοῦς (-αμμω- cod.) in Hsch., cf. EM756.31; τηθελᾶς Sch.Ar.Ach.49; τηθελαδοῦς Phryn.267; τηθαλώδης Zonar.
