SAINT-JEAN D'AUBRIGOUX
Haute-Loire, France.
A Gallo-Roman site 30 km N of Saint-Paulien
(Ruessio), apparently occupied from at least the 1st c.
B.C. on.
A Gallo-Roman building has been uncovered, dating
probably from the 1st-2d c. A.D., in the area known as
La Fontboine. Its purpose has not yet been determined.
The building, only the foundations of which have been
preserved, is rectangular (11.5 x 7.8 m) and divided into
three compartments by two crosswalls at right angles to
each other. Remains of brick paving have been found in
two of the compartments, at different levels.
