(confirmed by metre in Ar., etc.); “κρόμυον” Hom. ll.cc. (perh. metri gr.), POxy.1584.23 (ii A. D.), Stud.Pal. 22.75.8 (iii A. D.), etc.: prob. assim. fr. κρέμμυον, cf. place-name “Κρεμμυών” B.17.24, etc.)
