2. of or belonging to rain, ὕδωρ ὑ. a fall of rain, Id.Sign.28; ὑ. ὕδατα rain-water, Plu.2.911ftit.; ὑέτια ἦν it was rainy weather, Hp.Epid.4.18; ὐετίων δὲ μὴ ἐχφέρειν wool shall not be brought out (for sale) in rainy weather, GDIiv p.876 (Ionia, iv B. C.).
