Αἴγισθον: for the constr., cp. Ph. 444“τοῦτον οἶσθ᾽ εἰ ζῶν κυρεῖ”; (n.)— ᾤκηκεν, ‘has fixed his abode,’—a light touch of dramatic irony, since his tenure of it is so nearly at an end. Legg. 666 E “οὐκ ἐν ἄστεσι κατῳκηκότων” (but nomads).
