ἄνδρες Φωκέων (partitive gen.): Thuc. 7. 43§ 3 “ἄνδρας τῶν φυλάκων.” ἐκλάχῃ, depending on “φέρουσιν”, is more natural here than “ἐκλάχοι”, which would depend on “τεταγμένοι”, and refer to the purpose of the senders. So in 57 (n.) “φέρωμεν” was corrupted to “φέροιμεν”.
